Thanks for stopping by.
5-6-12 Another fun time at Birdie's Cafe last night.  Check out tunes and pics on Open Mic page.
4-24-12 Had fun playing Rock N Roll with my friends Chris Marks (Awesome Lead Guitar and Vocals) and Jim Reid (Drums and things that go bump in the night).  We were in a band called Semolina NEET back in the 70's. Had a BLAST!!!  I play with Chris on a regular basis, but I hadn't broken out my Tele and Rocked with Jim in about 6 years.  Posted I Want to Be Sedated; When the Blues Overtake Me; The Joker Medley and For What It's Worth (I dubbed bass parts for all songs except When the Blues Overtake Me).
4-15-12   Added some tunes and photos from last night's Open Mic at Birdie's Cafe to my Open Mic page.  Glad to say it was a Fun time for one and all,  Lots of folks and lots of performers.  Special thanks to Dan and Patti for coming out.  Great to see you guys.  Chris Hurley did his usual Wonderful job of hosting.  Thanks to Dave for letting me play along on my new mandolin.  Cool to see so many of the Starry Night Regulars and a bunch of new players too.  BTW:  Birdie's has great coffee and yummy food.  Hope this becomes a regular happening.
4-12 -12 Added some tunes (Going to California, Road of Life and Friend of the Devil) that Chris Marks and I played on 4-10-12. These are the first recordings with my new mandolin (see maniacal photo  'Life Imitates ART' top of page- taken by Cari Watrous).  BTW:  The two pieces of artwork in that photo were created by my very talented nephew Joshua Abelow.  Josh's painting 'Leak' was featured on the cover of my 'Road of Life' CD.  Had a great time performing my MMMM (Miss Mary's Music Man) duties for the Retreat Round Up on Sunday February 26th from 2 to 5pm.  Happy to report that my friends Dave Weiner and Chris Hurley also performed.  You can hear music and the story of Spot the Horse on the Retreat page.  For those of you who have been here before I just rearranged the site some.  My Schedule is now located on this page.  Bio, VideosBlogs and Links are now links, and Cari Updates are on the Sun Spot Farm page.  Hope you Enjoy your visit and remember to Enjoy Every Sandwich!!

Birdies's Open Mic & Rockin with Chris and Jim

5-6-12 Had a GREAT time at Open Mic last night at Birdie's Cafe.  Saw and heard lots of my musical friends.  I've posted Werewovles of London (in honor of the huge full moon last night) and some other tunes along with a few photos on my Open Mic page.  Hope you enjoy.  Also, I enjoyed Rocking out with Chris Marks and Jim Reid the other night.  Chris was the Lead guitarist and Jim was the drummer in the first band I was in:  Semolina NEET back in the 70's.  I played my telecaster the other night and then I dubbed some bass on the tracks.  Hope Life Is HAPPY!
